Message	from the rear of the fascia. The only thing I could think it would be used as a diffuser between the air intake and the FMIC. Chances are the original has a deeper flow in that the Unique auto body front fascia... but I could be wrong. May want to check depth first and ask about FMIC fittings on the Unique fascia in stock form. Good luck, would be sweet to see.
